Guernsey Tomorrow Update

SHOPPERS in Town this week will be asked consider 'Guernsey Tomorrow' as well as Christmas present lists.

The Guernsey Tomorrrow team from the States are setting up a display in the former Post Office in Nelson Place, Smith Street, open on Thursday and Friday lunchtime from 12-2pm and on Thursday evening for late night shopping from 6-9pm.

'The display gives people the chance to go through the main points of the Guernsey Tomorrow group event by themselves in 15-20 minutes rather than a couple of hours,' said Deputy Mike O'Hara, a member of the Strategic Land Planning Group.

'We'd like to think we could see a couple of hundred people through the doors over the times we're open. It's interesting and thought-provoking but it's not hard work for anyone.

'If people can spare a few minutes to let us know what they think we could all benefit in the end.'

The Guernsey Tomorrow process has so far been targeted at groups of people, and nearly 300 have so far gone through the workshops.

'We came up with this exercise as a new way for others to get involved,' said Deputy O'Hara. 'Nelson Place is pretty central and has easy access - I hope we'll see quite a few people popping in.'

The Guernsey Tomorrow interactive exhibition is open on:

Thursday 11 December 12-2pm and 6-9pm

Friday 12 December 12-2pm
